It continually amazes me how impressionable and impactful surroundings are to children.  Jaimie and I are huge fans of the Olympics!! We love them and watch everyday for the entire 2 weeks.  It was so funny today, I received a beautiful bouquet of flowers and without missing a beat Olivia ran off to gather the rest of the necessary props for her “Olympics”.  I had to even carry the medal and flowers in on a tray.  like her Aunt Donna mentioned “thank goodness she didn’t win bronze!! she would have ended up on her butt !! :)

What a weekend!!  We left Friday night and drove to Vancouver for a whirl wind Olympic weekend.  We spent Saturday just walking around downtown and the sheer number of people everywhere was overwhelming.  Sunday morning we (the adults) were up early and downtown (6am) for the CND womens curling.  I wasn’t sure about having my camera, so I decided to leave it at home just incase I wasn’t allow to bring it in.  The women won 9-2 over the US team and the entire stadium (5,000+ people) spontaneously broke out into the national anthem, I’m sure to the chagrin of the other 3 games still going on!! :)

I’m very glad we made the trip, a once in a lifetime experience for sure.

What a little firecracker!! Even though she came in weighing in at a whopping 6 lbs 8 ozs and only 9 days old, sleep was not to be had :)
